Damit wurde den politischen Verantwortlichen im Burgenland klar, dass eine \u201eWiedergewinnung der eigentlichen Hauptstadt des Burgenlandes&#8221; zu einer endg\u00fcltigen Illusion geworden war. Im Burgenland war die Emp\u00f6rung \u00fcber diese Vorg\u00e4nge gro\u00df und Landeshauptmannstellvertreter Ludwig Leser formulierte seinen Unmut am Parteitag der burgenl\u00e4ndischen SP\u00d6 in Markt St. Martin am 19. Durch einen faschistischen Putsch der Horthy, Hejjas und Pronais wurde \u00d6denburg gewaltsam von uns losgerissen und damit begann die \u00c4ra der revisionistischen Bewegung nach dem ersten Weltkrieg [&#8230;] Faschistische Banden waren es, die den Bruch der Friedensvertr\u00e4ge herbeif\u00fchrten und uns dadurch \u00d6denburg geraubt haben. Wenn dieses Unrecht wiedergutgemacht werden soll, so verlangen wir, dass uns das wiedergegeben wird, was einst uns geh\u00f6rt hat [&#8230;] Ein Jahr christlichsozialer Au\u00dfenpolitik hat mit einem Fiasko geendet. Ich bin \u00fcberzeugt, dass auch die gro\u00dfen M\u00e4chte Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr die Wiedergutmachung eines so schweren Unrechtes haben werden, und dass das uns von den Horthyfaschisten geraubte \u00d6denburg \u00f6sterreichisch wird.\u201c<br \/>\n<\/em>(Gerald Schlag: Die Ostburgenlandfrage nach 1945.
