In weiterer Folge fanden sie in einem 10-Jahres-Ryhthmus 1880, 1890, 1900 und 1910 statt. Mit dem Ende der Monarchie 1918 endete diese Serie an Z\u00e4hlungen. Die letzte gemeinsame Volksz\u00e4hlung erfolgte 1910. Die Gesamteinwohnerzahl betrug im Jahre 1910 rund 51 Millionen, davon rund 21 Millionen in der ungarischen Reichsh\u00e4lfte, womit \u00d6sterreich-Ungarn nach Russland und Deutschland die drittgr\u00f6\u00dfte Bev\u00f6lkerung in Europa stellte. Trotz hoher Geburtenraten und einer verringerten Sterberate nahm in der Gemeinde Sch\u00fctzen am Gebirge die Einwohnerzahl von 1.386 Personen (1900) auf 1.304 Personen (1910) ab. Die Erkl\u00e4rung daf\u00fcr d\u00fcrfte wohl in der verst\u00e4rkten Aus- und Abwanderung gelegen sein.
